"Your Song Changed My Life"

HarperCollins wanted to utilize my pen and watercolor skills to create some simple illustrations for Bob Boilen's book "Your Song Changed My Life." The book contains interviews with musical artists about how they came to music: what inspired them, what songs and artists got their attention, what made them decide to pursue a life in music.
I got the chance to explore this visually. Boom boxes, record players, a variety of musical instruments and recording equipment; all found a way into the design of this book. My boom box design made the front cover, while a myriad of other illustrations graced the end paper of the hardcover edition.
